I was first introduced to southern gospel music by a well known quartet called Gold City who came to our church for an anniversary celebration.
But my start in gospel music came in the way of sadness- my Father, Pastor David Cairns was called Home in March 2004 and out of this was formed Simple Faith, the group where I sang tenor for nine years. I had the opportunity to sing in venues such as the SSE Arena and Ravenhill Rugby Ground- home of Ulster Rugby. We also sang in Ireland, England, Scotland, Norway and twice in America where we recorded two albums and toured twice.
Then in February of 2013, God was calling me on a new adventure. In 2013 I met the love of my life, Tanita and we were married one year later in May 2014. God has blessed us with a beautiful daughter, Portia and a new baby arriving in June this year. In 2015 I felt the call to go out on my own as a solo artist and recorded my first album with Woodlands studios called- Great Are You Lord.
In August 2018 I followed the call of God into full time ministry bringing the Gospel in word, testimony, and song through Northern Ireland, Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales and as far as the Philippines. I am delighted to travel along with my family by my side and our vision is to do what Mark 16v15 says- Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.
